Palm hotsync error 8009

I was installing a new Palm Tungesten T3 on a client laptop with a Palm Desktop v6.x. Hotsync would fail with an error 8009. The error message stated something with multiple conduits installed. Ran Hotsynccheck.exe to correct the problem. Then did a resync (disabling all applications) and added them back in groups.

Sync worked perfectly!
